With a community of more than 100,000 followers, it is a fast‑growing brand popular among locals, expats, and travellers before arriving in Malta and throughout their stay.

As part of our growth strategy, we are expanding our editorial team and seeking a Lifestyle Writer&Content Creator. GuideMeMalta forms part of the wider Content House portfolio– Malta’s market leader in digital media – which owns and manages high‑profile platforms including WhosWho.mt, MaltaCEOs.mt, and Gwida.mt.

This is a hands‑on, fast‑paced editorial position focused on creating and publishing engaging material for GuideMeMalta’s online platform, complemented by short‑form video content for social media. You will be responsible for writing and publishing content covering what’s on and what’s happening acrossMalta, including lifestyle stories, dining, events, and culture.

Alongside written editorial, you will play an active role in translating stories into compelling short‑form video formats tailored for digital audiences. The position blends newsroom‑style writing with on‑the‑ground storytelling: attending events, conducting interviews, and, where relevant, appearing on camera. You will also collaborate closely with editorial, social media, and video teams to develop ideas, shape formats, and ensure strong performance across all channels.

Key Responsibilities

Write and publish engaging features for the online portal, covering dining, hospitality, events, and curated experiences

Conduct interviews with industry figures, including restaurateurs, chefs, entrepreneurs, and creatives

Develop and appear in short‑form video content, including social media reels and interviews

Collaborate with editorial, social media, and video teams to produce cross‑platform content

Adapt written articles into engaging social media content, including captions and headlines

Produce SEO‑driven evergreen content to support long‑term traffic growth

Attend events, launches, and media previews when required

Requirements

Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills in English

Good understanding of SEO and digital content best practices

Clear awareness of social media trends and formats

Confident interviewing and communication skills

Comfortable on camera

Organised, proactive, and able to meet deadlines

Genuine interest in lifestyle, food, culture, and experiences

Experience in media, journalism or content creation is considered an asset
