Duties and responsibilities

  • Responsible for all meat processing in high through put meat butchery and deli.
  • Should manage block men under his care as well as processing and packaging of meat.
  • Planning of meat orders and processing.
  • Stock management and waste minimization.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years' experience in the meat industry.
  • Qualified and experience as a block man.
  • Experience as a production manager for 5 or more years in a similar role.
  • Computer literate with knowledge of recipes and block tests utilizing software.
  • Knowledge and experience using Microsoft Word and Excel is important as well.
  • Own transport.
  • Code B license.
