Snr Business Analyst

Salary: R900,000 to R1,000,000 per annum

A fast-moving Fintech environment is urgently looking for a skilled Business Analyst to work closely with the Executive Head of Product. This is a strong opportunity for an experienced BA who enjoys solving real business problems, shaping product improvements, and helping technical teams build solutions that are clear, useful, and aligned to business goals.

You will act as the link between business stakeholders, external customers, product teams, and developers. Your work will directly influence how requirements are understood, designed, tested, and delivered across financial and technology-driven systems.

Responsibilities

• Work with business stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document business requirements 

• Translate business needs into clear functional specifications for development teams 

• Develop practical solution designs that align business goals with technical delivery 

• Liaise with developers to assess technical feasibility and support solution design 

• Create, maintain, and organise accurate documentation across the project lifecycle 

• Conduct business impact assessments for proposed changes and new solutions 

• Identify opportunities to improve products, workflows, and business processes 

• Present clear, actionable recommendations for process and product optimisation 

• Act as the key liaison between business users, external customers, and technical teams 

• Maintain strong communication channels across stakeholders and delivery teams 

• Provide weekly and monthly progress reports to relevant stakeholders 

• Support QA and UAT by validating delivered features against agreed requirements 

• Assist with test case creation, defect tracking, and issue resolution 

• Share knowledge across the team and support stronger use of data and analysis in decision-making 

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field 

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Business Analyst role 

• Strong experience gathering requirements and translating them into functional specifications 

• Solid understanding of Agile and Scrum delivery environments 

• Proficiency in tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Azure DevOps 

• SQL and database knowledge 

• Experience supporting QA, UAT, test case creation, and defect tracking 

• Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills 

• Ability to work closely with both business and technical teams 

• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail 

• Experience with financial or investment systems will be advantageous 

• Fintech industry experience will be advantageous
