Position: Senior Engineer

Location: Northern Cape

My client in the mining/minerals industry has an opening for a senior manager. The incumbent engineer will coordinate all engineering services and project activities to ensure plant and equipment optimisation which includes:

• Engineering services
• Contractor management
• Budget management
• Continuous improvement
• Compliance

The ideal person should have relevant experience and skills pertaining to:

• Process and procedures
• Management
• SHERQ
• Relationship building (Internal and External)
• Quality control and fault finding
• Computer Skills
• Maintenance systems

Minimum requirements

• National Diploma (NQF 6) in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering (essential)
• B Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering preferred
• Government Certificate of Competence in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering (Mines and Works)
• Experience: 8 years or more operational engineering experience in a mining environment
• At least 3 years' experience in Project Management or Middle Management.
