Enforcement Specialist, Centurion

We are looking to recruit an Enforcement Specialist for our client.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Evaluate and assess the seriousness and extent of non-compliance with the provisions, including the strength and admissibility of evidence as contained in an inspection report.
• Draft, settle and process the issuing of administrative sanction notices to non-complying accountable and reporting institutions
• Present matters for administrative sanction to the Adjudication Panel and/or Director, including oral and written arguments on the merits of the matter.
• Draft and/or settle answering affidavits in an appeal lodged with the Appeal Board.
• Draft and/or settle heads of argument and present oral argument on behalf of the company at an appeal hearing before the Appeal Board.
• Draft, settle and file pleadings in appeals lodged against a sanction issued by the company
• Draft, settle and file heads of arguments and appear on behalf of the company in appeal hearings.
• Guide, advise and provide training on the supervision and enforcement
• Provide legal opinions and conduct legal research

Education, Skills and Experience

• South African LLB degree.
• Admitted attorney and/or advocate
• Strong litigation skills.
• Proven criminal and/or civil procedure knowledge.
• Minimum of 10 years proven High Court litigation experience, including motion court and chamber appearances.
• Extensive proven legal drafting experience.
