Trainee (Student) Site Laboratory Manager, Bloemfontein

Join a well-established civil engineering and materials testing services provider as a Trainee Site Laboratory Manager, where you will receive structured training and hands-on exposure to multi-disciplinary site laboratory operations across soils, concrete, asphalt, seals and aggregates. Minimum requirements:

• National Diploma or Certificate in Engineering (Civil Engineering or related field)
• Entry-level position — no prior experience required
• Basic understanding of civil engineering materials testing (advantageous)
• Willingness to work on site and participate in laboratory and field activities
• Knowledge of Health and Safety procedures (advantageous)
• Good communication skills

Key responsibilities:

• Assist with daily laboratory testing activities
• Support sampling and preparation of materials
• Learn and apply prescribed test methods and procedures
• Assist with data capturing, calculations and record keeping
• Support equipment maintenance and calibration tracking
• Assist with implementation of quality control systems
• Participate in field work under supervision
• Develop competency across all testing divisions

Remuneration:

• Market Related (depending on qualifications and experience)
