Security Officer, Bloemfontein

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a skilled Security Officer to join our team in Free State. The Security Officer will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our premises, assets, and personnel. This is a permanent position with full-time hours.

Job Duties:

• Conduct regular patrols of the premises to maintain a secure environment
• Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems
• Respond to emergencies and alarms promptly
• Enforce company security policies and procedures
• Report any suspicious activities or incidents to the appropriate authorities
• Provide assistance to employees and visitors as needed

Required Qualifications:

• Valid Security Officer licence
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally
• Physical fitness and ability to stand and walk for extended periods

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience:

• Prior experience in a security-related role preferred

Knowledge and Skills:

• Knowledge of security operations and procedures
• Ability to use surveillance systems and equipment
• Good judgement and decision-making skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• First Aid/CPR certification
• Additional security training or certifications

Working Conditions:

• Full-time position with expected work hours
• May require working evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Exposure to various weather conditions
• Potential for physical confrontations with individuals
