HEAD ELECTRICIAN

Location: NASREC, JHB

Job Type: Fixed Term Contract with a possibility of permanent employment based on performance.

Salary will be discussed in the interview and is based on experience.

Must be able to work in a fast paced and high performing environment.

Requirements:

• Grade 12 with relevant qualification
• Must be Trade Tested – Red Seal
• 3 years relevant experience in a related role within the food manufacturing environment
• Proven experience as an Electrician in the food manufacturing or related industry.

Responsibilities:

• Set up, fix, and manage electrical systems, machinery, and equipment according to electrical codes and safety guidelines.
• Perform scheduled maintenance tasks to uphold the effectiveness and durability of electrical systems.
• Diagnose electrical problems using diagnostic tools and testing equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems, circuits, and machinery to detect potential hazards or faults.
• Notify the Maintenance Manager or appropriate personnel about any electrical issues, safety risks, or concerns.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols, procedures, and regulations for a secure work environment.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal electrical codes and standards.
• Collaborate with maintenance colleagues, engineers, and production staff for smooth operations.
• Act promptly during electrical emergencies or breakdowns to minimize downtime and safeguard personnel and equipment.
