Hydraulic systems, often powered by a Power Take-Off (PTO), serve various functions: Operating Auxiliary Equipment; They provide power to run external equipment like cranes, dump beds, snowplows, liftgates, and other specialized attachments. Power Transfer ; a hydraulic PTO system converts the truck's engine power into hydraulic power, which is then directed through hoses and components to operate the desired equipment. Fluid Management ; the reservoir stores hydraulic fluid, while manifolds and valves control the flow and pressure of this fluid to different parts of the system, enabling precise operation of hydraulic actuators like cylinders and motors.
