Commercial Solar Design&Quoting Specialist, Boksburg

Introduction

We are a growing renewable energy company specializing in large-scale commercial and industrial solar solutions across South Africa. We are looking for an experienced and technically skilled individual to join our team in the design and quoting of commercial solar projects ranging from 100kW systems up to multi-megawatt installations.Duties&Responsibilities

Prepare accurate commercial solar quotations for systems from 100kW to multi-megawatt scale. Design grid-tied, hybrid, and backup solar systems for commercial and industrial clients. Calculate and specify all required components including:

Solar panels Inverters Battery systems Mounting structures Cabling Protection equipment Switchgear and balance of system components

Interpret client requirements, site information, and load profiles. Produce preliminary system layouts and single-line diagrams. Perform yield calculations and sizing of systems. Work closely with the sales and installation teams to ensure technically accurate proposals. Assist with project handovers to installation teams.Ensure designs comply with relevant South African electrical and solar standards. Desired Experience&Qualification

Proven experience in commercial solar quoting and system design. Strong understanding of commercial and industrial solar installations. Experience working on systems from 100kW and larger. Knowledge of solar components, electrical systems, and installation requirements. Ability to design complete solar solutions and compile professional proposals.Experience with solar design software such as:

Helioscope PVsyst AutoCAD SolarEdge Designer or similar platforms

Good understanding of SANS regulations and electrical compliance requirements. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects. Own reliable transport. Must provide contactable references. Advantageous Electrical qualification or engineering background.Experience with utility-scale or megawatt projects. Experience with tender documentation and EPC projects. Wireman’s License or relevant solar certification Package&Remuneration
