Job Description

A brilliant coal Mining Company based in the Mpumalanga Province has a great opportunity for a Manager, Mining. The role will be to assist the Mine Manager in executing all day-to-day activities of managing the mine, specific to area of responsibility. They will need to ensure optimal utilisation of mining or mineral resources and maximizing profitability of current assets through effective formulation/implementation of strategy and objectives. The successful candidate must meet the following requirements:

•Tertiary Qualification

•MBA advantageous

•Mine Managers’ Certificate

•5 – 10 years underground coal mining experience

•Mechanised experience

•5 years underground coal experience in a 2.6.1 Managerial capacity MHS Act

•Member of Engineering Council of SA (PrEng)

•Member of SA Institute of Mining and Metallurgy
