Skills and Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent (Grade 12) Good English skills Valid driver’s license Knowledge of relevant laws Understanding of opencast mining methods Certified at Competent level A Experience with dewatering practices and managing pumping teams Bonus: Opencast Blasting Certificate Bonus: Engineering qualifications Requirements

Experience

Minimum of 4 years relevant supervisory experience Experience in a coal mining environment is advantageous

Competencies

Physically fit and capable of passing a medical/fitness test Must have a clear criminal record and be willing to undergo a criminal check Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and thrive under pressure Proficient in operating earthmoving machinery Self-motivated and capable of meeting targets/deadlines
