Payroll Officer WorkPac to Mackay Mackay, Mackay and Coalfields QLD Payroll (Accounting) Full time 85,000 per year Payroll Officer! Monday to Friday Direct permanent role with Client Mackay Local About our Client Our client is a well-established provider of maintenance, shutdown, fabrication, and industrial support services to the mining and resources sector across the Mackay region. They are recognised for delivering safe, reliable, and high-quality solutions while maintaining a strong focus on teamwork, performance, and continuous improvement. What you will be doing: As a Payroll Officer, your responsibilities are: Processing weekly payroll for 200–300 employees Managing payroll data entry, timesheets, and payroll compliance Assisting with payroll queries and employee records Ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing Supporting the accounts and administration team with general duties as required Working across a 38.5-hour work week What you will need: To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate: Minimum 5 years’ experience in a high-volume payroll position Strong knowledge of payroll processes and compliance requirements High attention to detail and accuracy Excellent organisational and time management skills Ability to work independently and within a team environment Strong communication and computer skills Ability to commence in the role from the 8th of June What's in it for you?
