Job Description MedSciX is partnering with leading hospitals across the Caribbean to recruit an experienced Consultant Gastroenterologist to provide expert care in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of gastrointestinal and liver disorders. Responsibilities
Diagnose and treat a broad range of gastrointestinal and hepatotoxicity disorders.
Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures such as gastroscopy and colonoscopy.
Manage both inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology cases.
Lead preventive and screening programs, including colorectal cancer initiatives.
Collaborate with surgeons, internists, radiologists, and pathologists for integrated patient management.
Mentor and provide guidance to junior medical and nursing staff.
Maintain detailed and accurate clinical records in line with hospital policies.
Participate in research, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
Stay updated with global best practices through continuing medical education.
Qualifications
Medical Degree (MD or equivalent) with specialization in Gastroenterology.
Board Certification (ABIM / MRCP / FRCP / equivalent).
Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice.
Minimum 3 years of post-specialization clinical experience.
Proficiency in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy; experience in ERCP or EUS is an advantage.
