Senior Business Analyst - Contract, Cape Town

Our Client a Global Tech firm is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join their team in Cape town on a contract basis for 12 months. They offer stability, growth, attractive rates, exposure and a great working environment.

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will lead projects to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our business processes. You'll be responsible for managing, directing and implementing new project initiatives across all departments in order to improve overall performance of our businesses. You will also be involved in writing detailed business requirements documents that detail how these projects should work and communicate them with internal stakeholders.

Requirements

1. Collaborates with other members of the group to define and implement business processes, including the identification of system needs
2. Designs and implements systems to support the organization's goals
3. Determines whether a process is worth duplicating or incorporating into existing systems.
4. Compiles reports and presentations on progress toward achieving stated business goals
5. Formulates detailed reports regarding discrepancies between actual and intended values
6. Ensures that all documented procedures are up to date and appropriately follow defined methodologies
7. Updates databases and information systems Provides services to support information technology projects and implement strategic data management and business process improvement
8. Creates and maintains technical and functional specifications and provides technical support, training and coaching to the project staff
9. Analyzes business processes and identifies how they need to be improved
10. Provides process documentation, analysis, and recommendations based on findings
11. Performs process review with management to ensure that the information is current and accurate.
12. Collaborates with project team members to set up systems, services, and processes
13. May perform data migration and data cleansing to prepare data for inclusion in the enterprise architecture

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field required
2. Minimum of 8 years' experience in a business analyst role with a strong focus on development and/or technical support
3. Must possess excellent problem-solving skills and be able to work well within the IT environment
4. Retail experience is a MUST
5. Oracle ERP experience beneficial
