Description
Responsibilities
- Technical selling, consultation and support of customers and in respect of the company's PV products and systems in the Sub-Saharan markets
- Acquisition and development of new customers and applications in selected territories. This involves travelling into such territories for sales and trade show purposes
- Preparation of Quotations, Client Follow Up, Product and Stock Consulting and Order Confirmation to Clients being fully responsible for reaching sales and profit targets in the territories
- Preparation, pricing and coordination of logistic offerings and requirements depending on the respective export market
- Guiding and support of international clients with all export and import requirements and preparation of export certifications necessary for certain markets (BV / SGS etc.)
- Building a knowledgebase for export regulations into Africa
- Supporting international projects from site assessment to commissioning giving advice to our partners
- Organisation and commencement or regular technical product and system trainings with clients where new products are introduced or system configurations and commissioning are shown
- Gaining internal knowledge about new products or updates and changes. Internal processing and presentation in the company's knowledgebase and training of colleagues
- Analyses and Assessment of market and customer requirements for new products and solutions
- Cooperation and collaboration with the Technical Application Engineers
Qualifications
- Ideally, 2-3 years' experience in the solar industry, preferably in international sales
- Profound knowledge and experience with solar PV products and storage applications
- Bachelor's Degree as academic qualification is a requirement
- Willingness to travel in Sub Saharan Africa
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
- Outstanding skillset in the interaction with and servicing of customers, as well as the ability to present and negotiate therein
- Excellent English skills
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced, customer facing environment
- Ability to organize, prioritize and effectively multi-task daily and meet deadlines
- Assertive, confident and clear communicator – via e-mail, phone and face-to-face
- Highly proficient with desktop applications such as Adobe Acrobat Professional, MS Office, and Internet
- Explorer including an ability to learn new IT systems
- Frequent travel within the region
- Must have valid state driver's license
