Context and Background
The Administration, Broadcast, Racing and Betting operations are run in partnership with the other operators in South Africa through multiple industry agreements. 
The Managing Executive will own the execution and have direct accountability to the company board as well as matrix accountability to the CEO and the respective Executives.
Management team in executing on the aligned goals and objectives.
The Business Plan essentially broadens the activities of the company but remains true to the Purpose, Vision and Mission of the organization

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities

• Define strategy and direction of the business:
• Accountability for the effective delivery of the target state (18 months) across the key pillars:
•  Financial metrics and drivers creating a sustainable model
• Growth of the betting landscape
• Property optimization
• Drive a digitization journey
• Racing product and enablers to put on the show from end-to-end
• Marketing, events and commercial sponsorships (including broadcast)
• Enhanced Stakes levels (in-season and out-of-season)
• Focus on the BBBEE scorecard to maintain a Level 4 rating or better
• Ensure compliance with the Western Cape Gambling
• Develop a high performing team

Preferred Qualification
• Business related qualification essential (Bcom)
• Honours Degree, Business Commerce - preferred
• Masters Degree - preferred

Experience
• More than 10 years in a senior management role within the gaming, sports, leisure industry
• Government and C Suite Stakeholder and relationship management
• Experience in managing diverse operational teams, delivering business value
• Experience in delivering multiple large-scale projects (from conception to delivery) simultaneously
• Strong financial background
• Business process optimization and digitization
• Property management and optimization (Preferred)
• General understanding of totalisator and fixed odds betting
• Event Management, Marketing, Sponsorships
