Digital Designer, Cape Town

To continue blazing a trail towards ongoing growth and success, we're looking for a Digital Designer to join our Group Marketing team.

Your responsibilities are diverse and the opportunities endless, but your mission is clear: A digital designer will be ready to develop their existing skills by working with senior creative staff on a range of ambitious and innovative projects. A thorough working knowledge of the Adobe Suite is required, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Premiere Pro.

Communication is a big part of the job, so the digital designer must feel confident enough to contribute to the entire creative process. Keeping a finger on the pulse of current trends is also key when moving towards promotion and recognition. You'll be working your magic across many exciting products and platforms.

We're looking for someone who:

• Can work under extreme pressure and tight deadlines
• Can produce attractive and effective designs for all media
• Supporting the team throughout the execution of campaigns and projects
• Offering input to creative meetings and sharing ideas
• Communicating with senior team members to receive feedback

To make our shortlist, we'd love your expertise to be backed up by:

• 1 - 2 years experience and adeptness with leading design software packages
• The ability to meet deadlines in a high pressure environment
• A determination to achieve and succeed
• 1 - 2 years relevant experience in digital design
• The ability to see projects through from inception to production
• Consistency regardless of project size
• Good organisational skills that support the rest of the team
• The motivation to maintain and improve design standards
• The willingness to listen to feedback and use it to improve
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

The successful candidate will need to have the following competencies:

• Suitable creative qualification (Graphic Design, Art Direction);
• BA Degree/ diploma or equivalent in graphic design;
• Knowledge and experience working with the Adobe Creative Suite;
• Excellent communication skills;
• Efficient time management skills with ability to work to tight deadlines
