Description

Main Purpose of the Role

  • Responsible for the promotion and active selling of the company's goods or services, which could be
    warehousing, freight forwarding, or supply chain solutions.
  • The main purpose of this role is to win new business in the medium and blue chip market segment.
  • It is also expected to focus on solution selling initiatives in pursuit of larger blue chip client.

 

Job-related Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 years’ experience in clearing and forwarding sales
  • And or at least 3 years’ experience in any other roll in a clearing and forwarding company.
  • Warehousing and distribution will not be seen as meeting the requirement.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop new and prospective customers
  • Quoting of freight costs to new customers
  • Response and follow-up sales inquiries and leads using appropriate methods.
  • Produce revenue growth by identifying decision-makers, coordinating customer meetings, and
    developing comprehensive proposals
  • Generate International revenue growth by cold calling and lead qualifying
  • Assess and identify business needs and conduct customer analysis to determine customer
    requirements and constraints, determine the impact of products/services on customers, and identify
    which products, services and features to promote to current/potential customers
  • Build business partnerships and develop key customer relationships to maximize account profitability
  • Create and develop strategies and plans for effectively managing accounts
  • Work productively in a team atmosphereAttend and complete the designated training for this program
  • Shadow sales team and management
  • Executive level engagement
  • Operational implementation of new business signed
  • Contract negotiations
  • Profit maximization
  • Tender, proposal and contract development
  • Stakeholder account and relationship management
  • Business value propositions
  • Consultative selling
  • Cross Silo selling
  • Opportunity analysis and qualification
  • Fulfil reporting requirements including but not limited to CRM tool management
