Senior Estimator, Cape Town

Minimum Requirements;

• Grade 12 & ND Civil Engineering/Quantity Surveying/
• 15 years' experience in Building Management construction management & estimating

Knowledge, skills abilities;

• Knowledge of construction (materials, methods, tools and equipment involved in the construction of highways and roads)
• Conditions of contract (e.g. JBCC, NEC, FIDIC, GCC 2010)
• Standard specifications (e.g. Colto, and South African National Standards)
• Understand tender process, tender documentation (Bill of Quantities, drawings, project specifications) and tender criteria (BEE, company experience, financial capability and track record, grading and ratings)
• Procurement process
• Programming skills
• Interacting with computers
• Mathematical skills
• Verbal and numerical reasoning skills
  Oral and written communication skills (English language)
• Attention to detail
• Judgment and decision-making skills
• Analysis and problem-solving skills
• Management of personnel resources (motivating, developing, monitoring performance and directing people as they work)
