Production Manager, Cape Town

This position will oversee and manage maintenance, production planning, and the manufacturing/production of all our pharmaceutical products in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Critical experience: 

• Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in operations management within the pharmaceutical, healthcare or FMCG industry.
• In-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, including solid dosage forms, liquids, and packaging.
• Demonstratable experience in the implementation of Lean Manufacturing Principles.
• Advance production planning and material resource planning capabilities.
• Strong understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), regulatory compliance, and quality management systems.

Minimum Education:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, pharmacy, or a related field.

Technical competencies/ Professional expertise:

• Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a track record of implementing process improvements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization.
• Proficiency in using manufacturing and ERP systems for production planning and inventory management.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
