Description

Our client is seeking a Key Accounts Manager to join their team. My client is trusted to?provide?significant digital transformation and technology solutions through the power of Microsoft solutions and multiple years of experience in tech advisory.

The successful incumbent will be responsible for: 

  • Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with clients by understanding their business needs and challenges.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the client and the consulting firm.
  • Identify new business opportunities within the existing client base and explore potential for upselling or cross-selling services.
  • Generate leads and pursue new clients through cold calls, referrals, networking, and industry events.
  • Understand the client's technical and business needs, offering tailored IT consulting solutions that align with their objectives.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to create proposals and solution designs that address client requirements.
  • Develop account plans and strategies for each client, setting clear objectives and outlining the path to achieve them.
  • Continuously assess the client's needs and adapt account plans as necessary.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements, ensuring terms are fair and favourable to both the client and the consulting firm.
  • Address any legal or compliance issues with the help of legal and compliance teams.
  • Oversee the delivery of IT consulting projects to ensure they meet the client's expectations, deadlines, and quality standards.
  • Act as a liaison between the client and the project teams to communicate project progress and updates.
  • Monitor revenue and profitability for each account, ensuring that revenue targets are met and profitability is maintained.
  • Manage budgets and financial aspects related to client accounts.
  • Continuously assess and improve client satisfaction by addressing concerns and ensuring high-quality service delivery.
  • Seek feedback and use it to enhance the consulting services provided.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitors, and emerging technologies to provide clients with the latest and most relevant solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions, contracts, and project details.
  • Provide regular reports to the management team on the status of client accounts, sales pipelines, and revenue forecasts.
  • Ensure that all activities related to client accounts adhere to legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Mitigate risks associated with client contracts and engagements.
  • Collaborate with sales teams, technical experts, and project managers to ensure a cohesive approach to client management and project delivery.

Minimum requirements: 

  • Grade 12 with post matric qualification in sales, marketing, business administration or related field
  • 5 years previous experience in Key Accounts Management 
  • 5 years previous experience in Business Development
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within an organisation
  • Presentation skills
  • Organisational and planning skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to take initiative and problem solve
