Nursing Assistant - Animal Hospital, Cape Town

Job Summary:

As a Nursing Assistant, you will support the nursing team in providing high-quality care to our patients. Your role will involve assisting with routine procedures, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and providing compassionate care to animals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist veterinarians and veterinary nurses with patient care.
• Prepare examination rooms and surgical areas.
• Monitor and record patient vital signs.
• Administer medications and treatments as directed.
• Provide comfort and reassurance to patients.
• Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of equipment and facilities.
• Assist with handling and restraining animals.
• Always remain mindful of the company's commitment to excellent client experience and patient care, while consistently prioritizing the best interests of the company.
• Assist in hospital duties. This may include helping patients with basic needs, transporting patients, or restocking supplies.
• Assist in taking animals for bathroom and exercise breaks.
• We may request you to perform ad hoc duties as required on an operational level by the hospital. These duties will be clearly communicated and will always be within the scope of a hospital assistant's capabilities.
