An established renewable energy and engineering services organisation is seeking a skilled

Electrical Engineer

to join their high-performance technical team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong design, project execution and problem-solving capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Design, review and optimise electrical systems for commercial and industrial projects.

Deliver technical support during project planning, installation and commissioning.

Conduct site assessments, energy analyses and system performance evaluations.

Prepare engineering drawings, specifications and compliance documentation.

Ensure all designs and project work adhere to relevant electrical standards and regulations.

Collaborate with project managers, technicians and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

Provide technical input for feasibility studies and proposals.

Minimum Requirements

BEng Electrical Engineering

(essential).

3–5 years’ experience in electrical system design, renewable energy, EPC or related environments.

Strong understanding of SANS electrical standards, grid-tie requirements and electrical safety regulations.

Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, PVSyst, ETAP or similar).

Excellent analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.

Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel when required.

Preferred Attributes

Experience in solar PV, energy efficiency or embedded generation projects.

Professional Registration (ECSA) or working towards registration.
