Procurement Manager, Cape Town

A leading, well‑established FMCG manufacturing business is seeking a dynamic Procurement Manager to join its high‑performing operations team.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in driving cost efficiencies, strengthening supplier partnerships, and optimising end‑to‑end supply chain performance in a fast‑paced production environment.

The role requires a proactive, hands‑on professional with strong procurement expertise, solid forecasting capability, and commercial acumen to support smooth, efficient, and profitable operations.

Key Responsibilities Operations

Manage procurement of raw materials, packaging, and related items

Support product development through sourcing of raw materials

Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies

Collaborate cross‑functionally on stock and supply decisions

Lead monthly stock control processes

Oversee forecasting, capacity planning, and inventory optimisation

Identify and mitigate supply risks, shortages and surpluses

Build and maintain strong supplier partnerships

Negotiate favourable terms with suppliers and service providers

Manage supplier performance, pricing and SLAs

Oversee transport contracts and procurement‑related risk management

Support maintenance, fire safety and security procurement

People Management

Lead and manage the warehouse team and administrative support

Administration&Reporting

Ensure competitive pricing and cost‑effective procurement strategies

Monitor spend and drive long‑term cost‑saving initiatives

Manage purchase orders, deliveries and supplier invoicing

Approve procurement of goods and servicesTrack and report on key procurement and operational metrics
