Essential Requirements

Proven experience: Minimum of seven years as a Full Stack PHP Developer with experience building applications from scratch

In-depth knowledge of Object‑Oriented Programming (OOP) and relevant design patterns

Proven experience using TDD (test‑driven development) and other BDD tools (such as Cypress, Selenium, or Web Driver)

Expertise in one or more PHP frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter

Strong front‑end development skills: Proficient in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

Experience with MySQL including schema design and query optimisation

RESTful API design and development: Solid understanding of designing and developing RESTful APIs

Version control and collaboration tools: Proficient in using Git and tools such as Jira

Strong problem‑solving skills: Ability to solve complex problems with attention to detail in a fast‑paced and collaborative environment

Excellent communication skills, able to clearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders

Desirable Experience

Experience with caching technologies such as Redis

Experience in modern frameworks like React, Vue.js, or Angular

Familiarity with DevOps principles and experience using deployment automation tools such as Docker, Jenkins, or Kubernetes

Prior experience working in the Hospitality Industry

Reference Number for this position is GZ57752. This is a contract position paying per hour with a contracting rate offering between R600 and R750 per hour, negotiable based on experience and ability.
