Process Engineering Specialist, Cape Town

Please note this position is in the Middle East - Saudi Arabia. All relocation costs will be covered.

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Process Engineer to join our Facilities Planning Division (FPD). The successful candidate will provide expert technical guidance on conceptual designs, long-term feasibility studies, and planning for production-related facilities. You will play a critical role in ensuring the successful front-end development of capital projects in the Oil&Gas industry.

Key Responsibilities

Lead conceptual studies and feasibility assessments for production facilities

Provide in-house process engineering consultation and troubleshooting

Conduct technical evaluations, equipment reviews, and specification checks

Interpret and apply engineering codes, standards, and best practices

Collaborate with internal departments and external contractors, vendors, and consultants (e.g. Aramco, KPC)

Support project cost estimation and budget control

Mentor junior engineers and transfer technical knowledge

Ensure compliance with HSE regulations and company procedures

Prepare accurate reports and documentation for decision-making

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering

Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in the Oil&Gas industry

Proven expertise in process engineering, feasibility studies, and conceptual design

Strong proficiency in process simulation and engineering software

Fluent in English (written and spoken)– equivalent to KJO L6 – Advanced

Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills
