The Editor is responsible for reviewing and refining written content on sellers’ companies to ensure accuracy and engaging content, as well as professional-standard formatting. In so doing delivering content that resonates with buyers and meets the highest standards of quality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Review the output of a team of writers to ensure the team consistently produces:
High‑quality, investor‑ready materials
Narratives tailored to the client’s business type, issues, the seller’s goals, and key selling points valued by potential buyers
Writing that is clear and succinct
Coherent narrative between writers’ output and write‑ups added by the financial analyst team
Set and uphold excellence in editorial standards and style guides
Train and mentor team members on best practices
Required Education and Experience:
Relevant B‑Degree – Journalism with one major in economics or a finance/investment related subject.
Minimum 5 years editor or journalism experience in a financial publication entity or investment environment with a strong focus on editorial excellence.
Preferred Education and Experience:
M&A or equity research experience
Certificate in finance, investment or economics
Profile:
Adaptability to process and organizational change
Strong work ethic
Sense of urgency
Desire for continuous improvement
Prioritizes what’s best for the company
Skills:
Effective organizational and time management skills
Strong client‑centric orientation
Strong report writing and documentation abilities
