Cloud&Infra Architect, Cape Town

We are seeking a Cloud&Infrastructure Architect with 4–7 years of experience to design, implement, and optimise secure, scalable, and resilient cloud and infrastructure solutions across key financial domains including

Payments, Investor Services&Trade, Pricing&Billing, and Liquidity Management . The role focuses on enabling high-performance platforms that support mission-critical financial systems, data processing, and analytics. Key Responsibilities

Design and implement

cloud-native and hybrid infrastructure architectures

aligned to business and regulatory requirements. Build scalable, secure, and highly available platforms supporting payments, trading systems, billing engines, and treasury solutions. Define and enforce

infrastructure standards, architecture principles, and best practices . Collaborate with Data Engineers, AI/ML Engineers, DevOps, and application teams to deliver end-to-end solutions. Ensure

high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity

for critical financial systems. Implement infrastructure

automation using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) . Optimise cloud environments for

performance, scalability, and cost efficiency . Ensure

security, compliance, and governance

across all infrastructure components. Support

real-time and high-throughput systems

(e.g., payments and trading platforms). Monitor infrastructure performance and proactively resolve issues. Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Technical Skills

Strong experience with

cloud platforms

(AWS, Azure, or GCP). Proficiency in

Infrastructure as Code

(Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates). Experience with

containerisation and orchestration

(Docker, Kubernetes). Solid understanding of

networking concepts

(VPCs, subnets, load balancers, firewalls). Experience with

CI/CD pipelines

and DevOps practices. Knowledge of

Linux/Unix systems administration . Familiarity with

monitoring and logging tools

(e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack). Understanding of

security best practices

(IAM, encryption, secrets management). Experience with

high-availability and disaster recovery architectures . Domain Experience (Highly Preferred)

Pricing&Billing:

Pricing engines, billing platforms, revenue systems. Liquidity Management:

Treasury systems, cash management platforms, liquidity risk infrastructure. Core Competencies

Strong architectural thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to design scalable and resilient systems in complex environments. Good communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Attention to detail with a focus on security, reliability, and performance. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
