DevOps Engineer (Mid - Senior) - (Cape Town– Hybrid)

Environment A Company who builds and scales AI, SaaS and Talent platforms, is looking for a DevOps Engineer with strong experience in CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code, and cloud-native environments. You will be responsible for automating infrastructure, improving deployment pipelines, and ensuring scalable, secure, and reliable systems.

Duties

Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines

Implement Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform

Manage Kubernetes clusters and containerized environments

Automate deployment and scaling processes

Ensure system reliability, monitoring, and alerting

Collaborate with development teams to improve workflows

Optimize performance and cloud costs

Requirements Core Technologies

Cloud:

AWS (preferred), Azure or GCP

Containers:

Docker, Kubernetes

Infrastructure:

Terraform

CI/CD:

GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, AWS DevOps tools

Core Requirements

3–5+ years’ experience in DevOps / Cloud Engineering

Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines

Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes

Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform)

Experience with Docker and containerization

Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS preferred)

Strong problem‑solving skills

Strong English communication

Certifications (Preferred)

Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)

AWS DevOps Engineer certification

Education

BSc Computer Science / IT or HBO/WO Informatica

Nice-to-Have

Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana)

Security best practices

Experience in SaaS or product environments
