Sales Executive (Retail), Cape Town

We are looking for a professional, friendly, and driven Sales Representative (external sales) to join a dynamic team in the Western Cape.

This role is ideal for someone who is confident in building relationships, passionate about sales, and thrives in a fast-paced retail environment. You will be responsible for managing a set call cycle, maintaining strong relationships with store managers, and driving product visibility and sales performance in-store.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Service and manage a portfolio of retail stores across the Western Cape
• Build and maintain strong relationships with store managers
• Present products, communicate pricing, and secure orders
• Monitor stock levels and ensure optimal product availability
• Ensure products are well presented, correctly merchandised, and not short-dated
• Work closely with in-store merchandisers to maintain high standards
• Arrange and coordinate in-store activations and promotions
• Communicate new product launches and ensure store teams are informed
• Handle queries, returns, and product-related concerns professionally
• Track orders and follow up on deliveries
• Report any quality concerns to the relevant internal teams

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role within wholesale and retail (non-negotiable)
• Proven experience working directly with store managers
• Strong sales, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
• Excellent communication skills in a diverse, multicultural environment
• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-moving environment
• Proactive, self-motivated, and solutions-driven mindset
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• Valid driver's licence with a minimum of 3 years' driving experience
• Willingness to travel extensively within the region
