Junior Process Engineer

to join the test facility team in Cape Town. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented early-career engineer with a background in

minerals processing

and a keen interest in

bench- and pilot-scale test work . The successful candidate will support the planning, execution, and reporting of test work campaigns in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The role requires a proactive team player who is eager to learn, develop hands‑on experience, and grow within a specialised engineering field.This role is a

full-time, laboratory-based

position with the following tasks and responsibilities: Tasks and Responsibilities:

Perform and assist with test work, including minerals processing, separation, dewatering and hydrometallurgical tests Assist in the development of test work proposals and cost estimates Support the design and setup of test equipment, including layout and operating parameters Contribute to safe work practices and ensure the proper handling of test equipment and reagentsConduct bench- and pilot-scale tests and record process data and performance Collect, analyse, and interpret test data, and assist in the preparation of technical reports Participate in the troubleshooting and optimisation of test processes Support research and development initiatives to improve test proceduresEnsure compliance with safety, quality and environmental regulations Communicate effectively with team members and project stakeholders Participate in regular project updates and progress reporting BTech / BSc / BEng degree in Chemical or Metallurgical Engineering Up to five (5) years’ experience in an engineering laboratory, plant, or mining environmentA valid driver’s licence Basic knowledge of mineral processing processes Familiar with Microsoft software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.) Core Competencies:
