Senior Product / UX Designer (AI & CX), Cape Town

Who are we: We are partnering with a business in the Business Process Outsourcing / Customer Experience (CX) space, so experience within BPO, contact centres or customer support environments is essential for this role.

Who are we looking for: A Senior Designer who can bridge product, AI and communication design - someone who thrives on simplifying complex systems into intuitive, user-friendly experiences.

What you will focus on:

• Designing digital products (platforms, dashboards, web apps)
• Creating user journeys, wireframes and high-fidelity UI
• Shaping AI-driven experiences (chatbots, voice interfaces)
• Translating technical concepts into clear, engaging design
• Contributing to brand, campaigns and investor storytelling
• Collaborating with product, engineering and AI teams

What they are looking for:

• 6–10+ years in product, UX/UI or digital design
• Strong portfolio across platforms or SaaS products
• Experience simplifying complex systems
• Exposure to AI, CX or conversational design is a plus
• Confident working in fast-paced, cross-functional teams

What do you need:

• 6–10+ years’ experience in UX/UI, product or digital design
• A strong portfolio showcasing web, platform or SaaS product work
• Proven ability to simplify complex ideas into intuitive, user-friendly solutions
• Experience designing across both product interfaces and visual communication
• Exposure to AI-driven products or conversational design (chatbots, voice) is advantageous
• Experience within customer experience (CX), contact centre or high-volume environments is beneficial
• Solid understanding of front-end principles (HTML, CSS)
• Ability to collaborate effectively with product, engineering and cross-functional teams
• Strong communication skills with the confidence to present design thinking
• A proactive, solutions-driven mindset with high attention to detail
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
• Based in or willing to work hybrid in Cape Town, with some EST time overlap
