Finance Manager, Cape Town

Overview

A dynamic and growing consulting firm in the legal space is looking for a driven and entrepreneurial Finance Manager to head up the full finance function. The individual will be responsible for the financial strategy of the business, ensuring that all accounting is in accordance to relevant reporting standards.

The role will be based on site in the Newlands office and would be an ideal fit for an experienced professional who is looking to move away from the typical corporate environment and be part of a company with a high performing culture, while maintaining a healthy work / life balance.

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures that ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices Create and monitor annual budgets and forecasts and provide regular updates to senior management Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements Analyse financial data and provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior management Manage the company’s cash flow and ensure that funds are correctly allocated and invested Oversee risk management activities, including insurance, hedging, and other financial instruments Collaborate with other departments to ensure that financial goals are aligned with overall business objectives Develop and implement financial strategies that support growth and profitability Ensure that the company’s financial records are accurate and up-to-date and that all financial transactions are correctly recorded and documented

Requirements:

Bachelors Degree in Accounting Post Graduate Diploma in Finance or Accounting  SAICA or SAIPA Articles completed 10 years + experience working in a small to medium sized business as a financial manager.  Strong working knowledge of Xero Accounting Systems Full Time
