Structural Designer (Point of Sale), Cape Town

Duties and Responsibilities

Concept and design of temporary corrugated products and displays Presentation of 2D and 3D renders of designs and displays Interaction with sales staff and client to take down briefs Do layout drawings for quoting purposes in CAD Prepare sketches for initial presentation and then rework in CAD Brainstorm design via the internet, publications and reference

Qualification

A tertiary qualification in industrial design with a certificate, diploma or degree is preferred. 3-5 years relevant experience in Industrial Design. (This would include any art or architectural design work, advertising or marketing work, publishing or printing work or typographical work)

Knowledge Skills and Attributes:

Excellent design skills, layout and creativity Knowledge of multiple operating systems, good design abilities Basic knowledge of the commercial printing industry an advantage

Computer Skill

Artios CAD Illustrator, Photoshop, PowerPoint, HTML and JavaScript 3D Studio Max or similar PC and / or Apple Mac based
