Our client, a well-established organisation within the financial services sector, is seeking a skilled UI/UX Designer to help shape, improve and elevate their digital platforms.

This role is ideal for a designer who is both creative and analytical, with the ability to understand user needs, translate insights into practical design solutions, and work closely with technical teams to deliver intuitive, accessible and user-friendly digital experiences.

The successful candidate will play a key role in building and strengthening UX capability within the business, contributing from research and concept development through to design execution and continuous improvement.



Requirements
  • Developing and strengthening UX design capability within the organisation.
  • Conducting user research, usability testing and insight gathering to inform design decisions.
  • Creating wireframes, prototypes, user journeys, task flows and interaction models based on user needs and business requirements.
  • Designing intuitive, accessible and user-friendly digital experiences across platforms.
  • Collaborating with designers, developers, product owners and business stakeholders to deliver seamless digital solutions.
  • Defining and evaluating user experience success measures.
  • Developing user personas and journey maps using research, behavioural insights and data.
  • Identifying and solving UX challenges relating to usability, accessibility, findability and overall user experience.
  • Communicating design concepts, prototypes and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Staying informed of industry trends, competitor products, design standards and emerging UX/UI best practice.
  • Relevant degree or qualification in BCom Informatics, BSc, Engineering, Design, or a related field.
  • 5–7 years’ experience in a UI/UX Designer, UX Designer, Product Designer or similar role.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating UX thinking, design process, technical understanding and completed digital projects.
  • Experience in user research, usability testing and design-led problem solving.
  • Strong understanding of interaction design, information architecture and user-centred design principles.
  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as UXPin, Balsamiq, Figma, Adobe XD or similar.
  • Basic working knowledge of HTML and CSS.
  • JavaScript knowledge would be advantageous.
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience within financial services, fintech or a regulated environment would be advantageous.
