Senior Commercial Leader - Sales&Operations Excellence, Cape Town

We are recruiting a senior commercial leader to drive

end-to-end execution across sales and customer-facing operations . This role sits at the centre of the business—translating strategy into action, aligning teams, and delivering commercial performance.

What you’ll own

Commercial leadership:

revenue performance, pipeline health, forecasting, resourcing, pricing alignment and sales execution

Operational alignment:

ensure marketing, product, customer service and service delivery are aligned and accountable

Customer experience:

improve quoting, order fulfilment, service follow-through and client responsiveness

Product&supplier interface (oversight):

support product lifecycle, pricing, lead times, stock/demand alignment and supplier engagement

Leadership:

coach and drive a high-performance management team across commercial functions

Performance visibility:

ensure systems (ERP/CRM) are used properly and reporting drives decisions

What we’re looking for

5+ years

in a

sales leadership

role within a mid-sized business, with credible performance delivery

Strong commercial judgement with the ability to lead across multiple customer-facing functions

Experience in

life science research / applied testing workflows

and/or

life science product distribution

strongly preferred

Comfortable operating at senior leadership level—hands-on, structured, and execution-focused

Qualifications

Biological Science-based degree

Strong leadership, coaching and accountability

Commercial analysis, decision-making, negotiation and relationship management

High systems competence (ERP + CRM“power user” level)

Strong communication and stakeholder engagement

Other requirements

Fluent in English; additional SA language advantageous

Valid driver’s licence

Strong Microsoft 365 capability and sales analytics proficiency
