Description
The role As a Compliance Officer, your primary purpose is to ensure that all regulatory and compliance risks are identified, managed, mitigated, and reported across the company. This involves conducting monitoring reviews to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and formally implemented standards. Key responsibilities include monitoring outstanding tasks on Electrum’s compliance frameworks tracking tool, coordinating internal and external audits, and reviewing incident reports to determine compliance impact. You will maintain a compliance calendar, track risk logging, and coordinate with the Legal Counsel and Compliance Management team to communicate potential risks, implement policies, and ensure employees are aware of their compliance obligations. You will also contribute to corporate governance by preparing management reports (e.g., QBR and MBR) and taking minutes for compliance meetings.
Education Requirements
A tertiary qualification, such as a degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
A compliance certification would be a bonus.
Experience Requirements
Managing compliance frameworks, including tracking tasks, managing failures via high-level indicators, and tracking remediation.
Coordinating internal and external audits.
Involvement in risk management, such as monitoring logging systems and adding/preparing new risks for review.
Managing policy review and renewal processes, including notifying owners, following up on progress, and raising non-conformances for overdue reviews.
Proficiency in compliance tracking tools and risk logging systems.
