Treasury Accountant

to join our dynamic Finance team in our

Cape Town

office.

About the role As a Treasury Accountant, you’ll play a key role in managing cash flow, liquidity, and financial risk while ensuring accurate treasury operations. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to support strategic decision-making and maintain strong financial controls.

What you’ll be doing

Manage and process daily bank transactions and postings

Monitor cash balances, funding requirements, and online wallet accounts

Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate treasury records

Prepare weekly and monthly cash flow forecasts and reports

Reconcile control accounts including settlements, cash in transit, and suspense accounts

Support foreign exchange activities and funding requirements

Assist with audit deliverables and ensure SOX compliance

Analyse treasury costs, including FX gains/losses

Collaborate with Finance, Product, and Reconciliation teams to resolve queries

What we’re looking for

BCom in Finance (or similar qualification)

Minimum 2 years’ experience in accounting or treasury

Strong knowledge of banking practices and financial regulations

High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

A proactive, adaptable mindset with a team-first approach

Nice to have

Experience with Microsoft Dynamics (Navision/Business Central)

Exposure to FloQast

Knowledge of TM1, Cognos, or IBM Planning Analytics
