Our client in the Agricultural sector is looking for a Maintenance Manager to join their team in Swellendam, Western Cape. Duties&Responsibilities

Plan, prioritize, schedule and oversee maintenance duties according to best practices Regular communication with General Managers regarding requirements, planning and progress Increase the operational effectiveness, equipment availability and life cycle cost of machinery and equipment through preventative maintenanceEnsure that Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are adhered to Implementation of Standard Operating Procedures and checklists for operators Manage the team on technical best practice and establish standard policies and procedures whilst also mentoring and leading the department Contribute to new business initiatives and projects and review and communicate the impact on Maintenance activitiesEnsure that machinery and/or equipment are fit for purpose and to provide proactive support/solutions when required Attend meetings and action/communicate instructions Produce written reports to the General Manager in terms of maintenance actions and costs Troubleshooting and problem solving Provide technical expertise to the teamManage, coach and develop a high performing maintenance team that meets agreed objectives, and which delivers best practice results, added value and continuous improvements Perform minor maintenance work, including maintenance and repair of machinery, other mechanical equipment, gates, etc. Procurement of equipment and machinery according to company protocolsMinimum Requirements
