Introduction An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced and driven Business Development Executive within a growing electrical and solar solutions environment.

This role requires a disciplined and target-driven sales professional with proven experience in electrical and solar sales. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating new business, building strong client relationships, and driving profitable project sales across residential, commercial, industrial, and maintenance sectors.

Key Qualifications

Minimum 2 years’ experience in electrical and solar sales

Strong understanding of electrical installations, solar systems, compliance requirements, electrical maintenance, and backup power solutions

Proven sales and business development experience

Strong closing and negotiation skills

Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities

Ability to work under pressure and achieve targets consistently

Strong administrative and reporting skills

Experience using CRM systems and quotation platforms

Proficient in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace

Valid driver’s licence

Key Responsibilities

Identify and secure new business opportunities within commercial buildings, property management companies, construction firms, industrial facilities, retail stores, residential estates, hospitality businesses, body corporates and sectional title complexes, and business parks.

Conduct cold calling, networking, email campaigns, and client visits

Build referral networks with developers, builders, estate agents, and facility managers

Attend networking events and industry expos

Source tenders and project opportunities

Conduct client meetings and site visits

Recommend suitable electrical and solar solutions based on client requirements

Present quotations professionally and confidently

Follow up consistently on all quotations and pending opportunities

Maintain strong customer relationships to ensure repeat business

Upsell maintenance contracts, compliance inspections, backup power systems, solar solutions, and electrical upgrades

Keep CRM systems updated daily

Submit daily and weekly sales reports to management

Manage the full sales pipeline from lead generation through to closing

Package and Remuneration

R14 000 basic salary

Lucrative commission structure based on gross profit generated

Additional bonuses on secured maintenance contracts

Company vehicle (private use within specified radius)

Company cell phone

Laptop provided
