St Cyprian’s School for Girls seeks to appoint a full-time, enthusiastic and innovative teacher in the High School History Department in

January 2027 .

Duties and Responsibilities

Be passionate about History and its contribution to student development

Create dynamic, engaging and stimulating learning experiences

Foster warm, collaborative and inclusive classroom environments

Demonstrate innovation and curiosity in educational practice

Inspire independent thinking, discussion and critical analysis

Show genuine commitment to the holistic development and wellbeing of students

Contribute positively to the broader life and culture of the school

Be willing to participate enthusiastically in the co‑curricular programme and wider school community

The Ideal Candidate Will Hold

An appropriate academic degree with History as a major subject

A recognised professional teaching qualification

Current South African Council for Educators registration (SACE)

Relevant teaching experience in a High School environment

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

A growth mindset, high energy levels and a collaborative spirit
