As the
Reception/Relief Night Auditor
you are the face of the hotel, responsible for creating a welcoming and professional environment while ensuring smooth front desk operations.
You will deliver exceptional guest service, manage reservations and billing with accuracy, and uphold high standards of efficiency, attention to detail, and teamwork.
In addition to daily reception duties, you will provide support for night audit shifts when required. This role requires accountability, strong organisational skills, and a guest-focused mindset to ensure seamless front office operations.
By demonstrating professionalism, accountability, and a commitment to continuous improvement, you contribute to meaningful guest experiences and support our mission of delivering authentic, high-quality service.
Key Responsibilities
Actively seek and provide feedback to enhance guest experience and operational processes.
Engage with management to share ideas for improving front desk efficiency and service delivery.
Apply lessons learned to continuously improve performance and operations.
Stay informed about farm offerings and attractions in and around Cape Town to provide accurate recommendations.
Accountability&Professionalism
Maintain accurate and confidential guest records at all times.
Take ownership of tasks, demonstrating reliability, integrity, and adherence to hotel policies and standards.
Present a professional image and uphold high standards of punctuality and conduct.
Ensure attention to detail and proactively address any issues.
Build strong relationships with colleagues and other departments to ensure seamless operations.
Maintain accurate, well-presented documentation in line with operational standards.
Communicate effectively during daily operations, briefings, and handovers.
Guest Service&Experience
Deliver warm, professional, and personalised guest interactions from arrival to departure.
Manage front desk operations efficiently, including check-in/out, reservations, billing, and concierge services.
Introduce guests to the property and facilities, ensuring comfort and satisfaction.
Promote, upsell, and recommend services and local experiences aligned with guest needs and company values.
Ensure all guest interactions, financial transactions, and reports are completed accurately and on time.Maintain and update guest information, process payments, and generate daily reports.
Manage cash, floats, and inventory securely and in line with procedures.
Reliable&Flexible Operational Support
Stay updated on events, promotions, and operational changes to provide accurate guest information.
Maintain a clean, organised, and well-stocked front desk and reception area.
Follow all safety and security protocols to protect guests and staff.
Remain flexible and assist with additional duties when required.
