Management Accountant, Cape Town

Key Responsibilities

Partner closely with the Financial Manager (FM), providing support in the execution of key financial and operational responsibilities.

Prepare, review, and present monthly management accounts, annual budgets, and quarterly forecasts with precision and clarity.

Deliver insightful financial analysis and reporting, ensuring accuracy and adherence to strict timelines.

Participate in balance sheet reviews, investigate variances, resolve queries, and provide commercially sound recommendations.

Champion a culture of strong corporate governance and internal controls, identifying gaps and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Review internal audit findings and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions.

Provide operational support through detailed analytical reviews, including profitability analysis, cost management, and key performance metrics.

Contribute to environmental and sustainability reporting initiatives.

Compile board packs, manage CAPEX budgets, and support feasibility studies, as well as various ad hoc and strategic projects.

Qualifications&Experience

Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree in finance is essential.

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar Management Accounting role.

Strong understanding of hospitality industry financial principles.

Solid knowledge of IFRS, taxation, and the Companies Act.

Experience working on SAP is essential.

Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate numbers into meaningful business insights.

Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Williness and flexibility to travel to various sites when required.
