IT Support Tech - Hands-on 365, Network&Remote Site Support, Cape Town

Raubex Building Cape is looking for an Intermediate IT Support Technician to join our IT team. This is a hands-on role for someone with 2–4 years of solid IT support experience who is comfortable working independently, handling both end-user support and the operational side of keeping our environment running from Microsoft 365 support through to hardware deployments and network installations at remote sites.About the Role

Provide remote and on-site IT support across Microsoft 365, Office applications, Windows, and core line-of-business software Triage, manage, and resolve helpdesk tickets within agreed SLAs, keeping users informed throughout Configure, deploy, and maintain desktops, laptops, and peripherals for new and existing usersAdminister user accounts, mailboxes, groups, licences, and permissions in Microsoft 365 and Active Directory / Entra ID Perform software installations, upgrades, patches, and OS deployments Diagnose and resolve hardware faults, and coordinate repairs or replacements with suppliers Install and support network hardware (switches, access points, routers) at remote sitesProvide second-line server support under the guidance of senior team members Manage IT stock, asset registers, and the IT storeroom— including stock takes and inventory accuracy Source and process hardware and software quotations from approved suppliers Maintain accurate documentation for IT procedures, configurations, and user-facing knowledge base articlesSupport the IT team on broader projects, rollouts, and infrastructure initiatives as required Qualifications

South African citizen Grade 12 A relevant IT qualification (diploma, degree, or recognised certifications like CompTIA A+ and/or Network+) Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate (MD-102) or equivalent qualification would be advantageous Minimum 2-4 years of experience in an IT support role or similar technical positionWorking knowledge of the Microsoft 365 suite and Windows 11 Practical experience with desktop and laptop hardware and software troubleshooting Familiarity with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs) and basic network troubleshooting Endpoint management / antivirus exposure (e.g. Microsoft Defender, Trend Micro, or similar)Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical business users Customer-focused approach Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel Required Skills
