Salary: R25,000–R32,000 per month, depending on experience

About us We're Rydal Group, a UK telecoms and IT group operating across three divisions:

Rydal Comms— IT, cyber security and telecoms services to UK businesses

Rydal Wholesale— telecoms and connectivity through UK channel partners

Merula Broadband— full-fibre consumer broadband to UK households

We have offices in the UK and Cape Town, with around 120 staff across the group. Our Cape Town office is in the CBD and is fully integrated into our UK operation— you won't be working in isolation, you'll be part of the UK finance team, based locally with colleagues across finance, marketing, IT and support.

The role We're hiring two Credit Controllers to join our UK finance team, working from our Cape Town CBD office. You'll manage credit control across the group— covering business customers, channel partners and consumer broadband accounts.

This is a varied role with real scope. Our B2B customers are businesses on contract; our wholesale partners are channel resellers; our consumer customers are households on broadband subscriptions. Each requires a slightly different tone and approach, and you'll get exposure to all three.

What you'll be doing

Managing credit control across the group's customer base— B2B, wholesale and consumer

Drafting clear, professional customer communications

Setting up and managing Direct Debits in line with UK Bacs scheme rules

Agreeing and administering structured repayment plans where needed

Operating documented vulnerability and hardship routes for consumer customers

Working closely with UK and Cape Town colleagues across finance, support and sales

Tracking recovery, complaint and chargeback metrics; reporting into UK finance leadership

Contributing to process and tooling improvements as we scale our billing operations (including our ongoing Splynx migration on the consumer side)

What we're looking for

Demonstrable credit control or billing operations experience— UK telecoms, broadband, utilities, subscription services or B2B services preferred

Strong working understanding of the UK Direct Debit Guarantee and Bacs scheme rules (essential)

Familiarity with Communications Ombudsman principles (advantageous for the consumer workstream)

Experience with Splynx or similar ISP billing platforms (desirable, not essential)

Excellent written English— you'll be drafting customer-facing comms that need to be clear, professional and warm

A calm, solutions-oriented approach with customers across a range of situations

Proven track record of working UK business hours from Cape Town

Comfortable working from our CBD office five days a week
