The Role This role focuses on producing original, thoughtful, human-written content across digital channels, including websites, articles, guides, landing pages, scripts, email communications, and advertising copy. The position requires a genuine writer capable of research, interviewing, analysis, and nuanced storytelling. AI tools may be used to support ideation, research, or structural planning, but all final content must be authentically written and editorially crafted. The writer will also handle basic CMS publishing.
Key Responsibilities Content Creation
Produce high-quality website copy, articles, blogs, guides, landing pages, and product content for marketing collateral.
Develop clear, persuasive marketing copy for ads, social campaigns, and email communications.
Interpret briefs for paid media, SEO, and broader marketing and turn them into well-written, original content.
Write content for UK business units and brands initially, expanding to other areas as and when needed.
Use of AI
Use AI tools only for research acceleration, ideation, or outline development.
Do not produce AI-generated final copy.
Deliver writing that demonstrates independent thought, editorial quality, and strategic clarity.
Maintain transparent writing processes and uphold high editorial standards.
Apply SEO techniques including metadata, tags, keyword placement, internal linking, and structural hierarchy.
Refresh existing content for accuracy and performance.
Collaborate with the web publishing, IT, and technical SEO on layout and UX adjustments.
Basic CMS Publishing
Upload and format content within the CMS.
Add imagery, alt text, CTAs, and internal links.
Conduct QA checks before and after publishing.
Partner with the brand and design team to create compelling overall marketing assets.
Support broader marketing with email, events, and social media content.
Work with web publishing to ensure correct content flow and formatting.
Assist in producing conversion-focused copy variations for paid media.
Required Skills&Experience
5+ years as a content writer, journalist, or digital copywriter.
A portfolio demonstrating strong writing, clarity, tone control, and originality.
Excellent research and analytical skills.
Basic CMS publishing capability (WordPress or similar).
Ability to adapt tone and style for UK audiences and later regional expansion outside of the UK.
Exceptional grammar, syntax, and editorial judgement.
Demonstrable ability to understand markets and commerce and come up with editorial content ideas.
Experience writing for financial, insurance, legal or technical industries.
Familiarity with UK markets.
Understanding of GA4, Search Console, or basic digital performance metrics.
Experience with conversion-focused copywriting and optimisation.
Interest or experience in broader content disciplines such as video scripting, podcast content, adaptation of content to audio-visual story formats, etc.
