What will you do?

Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Technical Accounting Officer to support the processing of premiums and claims, manage client queries, and assist with financial operations. The ideal candidate will have strong Excel skills, a solid understanding of basic accounting principles, and the ability to work effectively within a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and reconcile reinsurance premiums and claims accurately and timeously
• Manage and respond to client emails and queries in a professional manner
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues related to premiums and claims
• Prepare and process payments in line with company procedures
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and service delivery

What will make you successful in this role?

Minimum Requirements

• Relevant finance or accounting qualification or studying towards one
• Minimum 2 years experience in insurance or financial services environments in a similar role
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (. data analysis, reconciliations, basic formulas)
• Basic accounting knowledge (advantageous)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
