Overview:
Our client, a leading supplier of premium coffee solutions, frozen beverages, and related product ranges, is seeking a dynamic and driven Sales Consultant to join their growing team.
This role is focused on generating new business opportunities and building long-term customer relationships through product demonstrations, tastings, and consultative selling. Successful candidates will undergo comprehensive training on the company's product portfolio and sales processes.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 / Matric
- 3+ years sales experience
- Hospitality, coffee, beverage, or related industry experience - advantageous
- Computer literate - MS Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
- Valid driver's licence and own reliable vehicle
- Willingness to travel as required
- Good knowledge of the Cape Town market
- Ability to communicate professionally in English - Afrikaans (advantageous)
- Strong customer service orientation
Key Responsibilities:
New Business Development
- Generate and secure new business opportunities within the assigned territory
- Conduct client visits, product demonstrations, and tastings to showcase the company's product offerings
- Convert qualified leads into long-term customers
- Identify additional sales opportunities during client visits and market engagements
- Maintain a consistent pipeline of prospective customers
Sales & Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients
- Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable solutions
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout the sales process
- Represent the company professionally and positively in the marketplace
Product Demonstrations & Trials
- Conduct product tastings and demonstrations for potential customers
- Coordinate and manage free trial installations where applicable
- Follow up on trial customers and convert opportunities into sales
Market Awareness
- Remain alert to market trends, competitor activity, and new business opportunities
- Develop a strong understanding of the local trading environment and customer base
Training & Development
- Participate in structured product and sales training programmes
- Gain comprehensive knowledge of the company's coffee, frozen beverage, and retail product ranges
- Collaborate with experienced sales consultants across multiple branches during the onboarding period
Travel Requirements
- Extensive travel may be required during the initial training period
- Consultants will spend time in various branches learning from experienced team members
- Monthly travel to outlying areas within approximately a 400km radius of the branch may be required, depending on business needs
