Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Accounting & Finance Supervisor to oversee bookkeeping operations, support a small team, and ensure accurate and timely delivery of client accounting, payroll, VAT, and reporting services.
This role suits a hands-on accounting professional who enjoys both technical work and team coordination.


QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • Degree in Accounting with completed ARTICLES
  • Experience in income tax, financial statements, auditing
  • Valid Driver’s License and have own transport advantageous - (travel will be reimbursed at standard rates).
  • 3 - 5 years’ experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or finance supervision
  • Strong understanding of VAT, payroll, and SARS processes
  • Experience reviewing financial statements and reconciliations
  • Prior team leadership or supervisory exposure preferred
  • Strong Excel and accounting software experience (Xero, Sage, etc.)
  • High attention to detail and deadline-driven
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Supervise and support a team of bookkeeping staff
  • Review bookkeeping, reconciliations, and monthly management accounts
  • Ensure accurate VAT submissions, payroll processing, and SARS compliance
  • Monitor client deadlines and ensure delivery within agreed timelines
  • Assist with financial reporting and monthly client deliverables
  • Identify errors, risks, or inconsistencies in financial records
  • Support process improvements and workflow efficiency
  • Act as escalation point for client and internal queries
  • Assist with advanced accounting tasks when required
